Challenges of becoming an artist

Just like many artists who must endure their share of financial instability, Jeovine is no exception. When Jeovine is not drawing, she is a digital illustrator who works from home. According to her, that is the source of income that helps her maintain her living while pursuing her interest in drawing.

Jeovine confessed that being an artist is never easy. Started out in 2009, her dream of becoming a full time artist quickly fell short after realizing she could barely made enough for a living by just drawing. In one of her encountering, she had to cope with losses after her printed artworks were left unsold. Nonetheless, today Jeovine still prints & sells her artwork.

When being asked what her motivation to keep drawing is, Jeovine mentioned that it is the passion and the unconditional support from her husband that drive her forward.

“While being hardworking does not necessarily equate to success, I will keep drawing as I want to live with no regrets (for doing what i love). I believe one day more people will appreciate my artwork.” Jeovine told TallyPress.
